 With a prequel series to Lord Of The Rings Amazon wants to thrill the fans of the original films. It hopes for a similar success, as with Game Of Thrones. Apparently, the streaming service puts a lot of trust in this idea. For already a second season has already been ordered to the offshoot. Large streaming providers have long been competing for new customers. Over the next few months and years, this will only be harder. Both Netflix and Amazon are on the verge of launching a major fantasy series. After all, Game Of Thrones has left a big hole on many fans of the genre after the final season. To win the viewers, Amazon is now taking a big risk. One dares now for a prehistory of the cult series The Lord of the Rings.

The actors of the Lord of the Rings series are already well positioned. Among them are Will Poulter, Markella Kavenagh and Joseph Mawle. The first two episodes are staged by J.A. Bayona. The consultant is Bryan Cogman, known as the Game Of Thrones veteran. So far, we know about the story that prehistory is supposed to play in the Second Age.
